What is CrossFit?

CrossFit is comprised of constantly varied functional movements (like pushing, pulling, squatting, lifting, running) that are executed at high intensity. The workouts are constantly varied and designed to optimize physical competence in each of the ten recognized fitness domains: Cardiovascular and Respiratory Endurance, Strength, Flexibility, Power, Speed, Coordination, Agility, Balance, and Accuracy.

The CrossFit program is designed for universal scalability, making it perfect for any committed individual regardless of experience.  Because we safely scale all workouts by making changes in load and intensity, a CrossFit veteran can complete the same workout as a new participant.  Regardless of your age or fitness level, we ensure you get an intense and safe workout that maximizes your results.

At CrossFit Kernersville we’ve created an atmosphere of camaraderie and inspiration that you cannot find in the “Big Chain” gyms. It cannot be described, only experienced.  Great care and attention is put into ensuring that any person at any fitness level, from sedentary to the elite athlete, can accomplish the ultimate goal… an all-inclusive fitness.

–  The workouts are short, intense and never the same. You won’t get bored and you will be challenged.  Our goal is more results in less time.

–  Anyone can do it, regardless of your fitness level. While everyone does the same workout, our certified trainers scale the load and intensity so first-timers can do the same workout as experienced crossfitters.

–  More personal attention.  We limit our class size to focus on you and your results.  Think small group personal training, not overcrowded fitness classes.

–  Supportive and motivating atmosphere.  We are a group of people who come together to motivate each other in the sport of fitness. Our atmosphere provides friendly competition by pushing one another, motivates classmate and promotes camaraderie that doesn’t exist in other programs.

Since our workouts are scaled, you can jump right in regardless of your experience level.  In other words, you will use weights and intensities that are appropriate to your fitness level. We can have a person who has never even seen a barbell before working out next to an elite athlete and both will achieve the desired result: a safe, fun and highly effective workout.
